Company History
In 1911 Oswald Noch began to produce model train toys in a little town called Glauchau in eastern Germany. His small business prospered and grew until after World War II, when the government of the former DDR nationalized his company.
His son, Erich Noch, made the decision to immigrate to West Germany and to start again. In 1957 he restablished his father’s business in Wangen. With the help of his family and thanks to the excellent quality, new ideas and the huge range the NOCH company grew to be one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of model railroad and landscaping products.
In the late 1970´s Peter Noch, Erich’s son, joined the company. Together, father and son managed the company until Erich died in 1989.
In 1994 the fourth generation, Dr. Rainer Noch, joined the company.
Today, NOCH products are known worldwide for their high quality and realistic appearance.
